Since 1945, Eassons Transportation Group has been family-owned and operated, headquartered in Kentville, NS, with terminals across Atlantic Canada and Ontario. Operating over 325 trucks and employing more than 500 people, Eassons specializes in dry and temperature-controlled TL/LTL services throughout Canada and the United States.
We are currently hiring Class 1 Long-Haul Truck Drivers to join our team.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive Class 1 tractor-trailers (including refrigerated units).
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Transport goods across Canada and the U.S. (long-haul, cross-border, overnight, and extended travel required).
- Maintain accurate driver logbooks, trip reports, bills of lading, and other documentation.
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks, including brake adjustments.
Requirements
- Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1–2 years preferred (but training opportunities are available for new drivers).
- Licence/Certification:
- Class 1 Driver’s Licence (or equivalent).
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
- Defensive Driving Course / Professional Driver Improvement Certificate (asset).
- Forklift Operator Certification, WHMIS (asset).
- Security: Valid passport, clean criminal record check, drug test, and driver abstract required.
- Skills & Suitability:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Team player with good judgement and reliability.
- Ability to handle physically demanding work (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs).
- Comfortable with long-haul, overnight, and cross-border travel.
