Quality Assurance Officer – Nestlé Ghana Limited
As a Quality Assurance Officer at Nestlé Ghana Limited, I play a vital role in safeguarding product quality, food safety, and compliance across all manufacturing and production processes. My work ensures that every product leaving the factory meets Nestlé’s high standards for excellence, consumer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain Nestlé Quality Management Systems (NQMS) in alignment with ISO 9001, HACCP, and GMP standards.
Conduct in-process and finished product inspections, ensuring adherence to product specifications, hygiene standards, and food safety protocols.
Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and laboratory teams to identify non-conformities and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Participate in internal audits, supplier quality assessments, and regulatory inspections, ensuring full compliance with Nestlé corporate and Ghana FDA requirements.
Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) within production lines to maintain food safety integrity.
Support training and sensitization programs for production staff on quality standards, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Conduct root cause analysis for quality deviations and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Prepare and maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation for internal and external audits.
Promote a strong quality and safety culture within the factory environment in line with Nestlé’s “Zero Defect” and “Right First Time” principles.
Skills and Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of Nestlé Quality Management Systems, ISO, HACCP, and GMP requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills across multidisciplinary functions.
Proficient in data analysis, quality inspection tools, and documentation control systems.
Commitment to continuous improvement, product integrity, and consumer trust.
Qualifications:
Higher National Deploma in Science Laboratory Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
Experience in quality assurance, food safety, and manufacturing operations within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
Training or certification in HACCP, ISO 9001, or GMP .
